I used to know his daughter, i remember her absolutely bricking it when we did them talking bus stop things and used his voice in one. She nearly had a heart attack thinking he was behind her.

Stayed in Scarborough just outside Perth on holiday a few years ago and Mick was drinking in the bar of the hotel. It was a great honour to talk to one of my earliest heroes and he was a real gentlemen. Made my holiday !

He was interviewed on Roger Lyon's (no relation) radio show on Radio Merseyside on Christmas Day morning a couple of years ago, as part of ex-Pats ringing home. He was a lovely fella and was inviting anyone visiting Australia to come and meet him for a pint at his local pub. He also had an open invitation for any Blues to try out for his pub footy team that he managed.
