I absolutely hate when a commentator says before a game "(insert unless footballer name here) hasn't scored in 148 games" you know exactly what's going to happen.

Just shocked we didn't gift Sheffield United their first win

They beat a Man Utd team who were top of the league. IF it had been against us then the forum would have predictably been full of "Here we go, Everton that"

I doubt that it happens more often to us than to other teams. It just feels like it. (anybody got the stats?)
Don't get me wrong, I hate playing teams on a bad run, or against strikers in a dry spell, but it's simply because you know the law of averages says they will win/score eventually. Against someone.
Teams on a poor run eventually get a win. Fact.
Strikers who go on a dry run eventually score. Fact.
It's always against us. Fiction.
