Monaco clearly don't want him, the club apparently went over Claudio Ranieri's head and signed him without consulting him or his scouts. Shows how much Ranieri thought of the lad when they spent about €15m on him and had Falcao pick up a long-term injury yet the still saw no use for him.
Martinez is clearly keen, he's seen something he must like, plus he does have a fairly impressive goals per game ratio. If he comes back next year then sound, let's see what he can really do. If he doesn't, then bon voyage and let's get someone else (who isn't crocked).
