The day I reach retirement age, not sure when that is exactly as thought I had to go to 67 but hearing now that last year you can go at 66 plus any month your birthday falls in after April 2026

Self employed tradesman with zero benefits and I don’t intend to pay into a pension fund just to keel over a year or 2 after retirement like too many people I know have.
Might live to regret it later down the line, but them’s the breaks.

Never. Thankfully, I'm fairly confident society will completely break down and humanity will destroy itself within the next 30 years so it won't affect me.
This is why I'm a stinge bag with my pension at work. I know we need them, but the quality of life I'll have by the time I get it will be rubbish. I'll just need enough for the heating and a microwave meal.

Not even a full page in and the hopelessness and despair in tangible. Some going.
Same here, my wages never been more than a state pension so will be able to live OK.

Who can tell these days. The way its going im not sure if I can imagine being fully retired but with any luck might get to a stage where able to work part time consulting or lecturing/training.
