Im fairly sure he could have got a wage similar to what we are paying him elsewhere. Its a lot of money to us, but im sure another team could have matched his wage.

Why does every1 have to look at the money side? Hes signed cos he got some gaurantees that he would be able to compete, i wish ppl would forget about the amount and embrace the fact that we have a manager in charge that has been with us for over 6 years, done a wonderful job and wishes to continue his hard work.

He could easily have thrown his toys out the pram and said the club doesnt match his ambtion and gone to Newcastle for the same amount of money, its not all about money, money, money with Moyes.

In my eyes the manager should always be the highest paid person at a club, onwards and upwards Davey lad.

Who told you this information?

If thats the case why didnt he just see out his contract untill the end of the season and wait for the merry go round that is end of season sackings? That way all these "better jobs" clubs would have known he was gonna be available and could have approached him in January.

And define "better clubs", surely as an Evertonian you should feel there isnt a club better than us?

Where does it say better club? Nugget!

I will accept that maybe he realises he cant get a BIGGER club, but some ppl are saying that he couldnt go to a club and get his wages matched. I aint having that.

Name one that would give £3.5m a year? That's a big salary for a manager, even by PL standards.

IMO

he has signed because all the better jobs out there are already taken, no one needs him.

Right there, surely better jobs means better club? No? You BBQ chicken drumstick with fries. :D

No not in the slightest, if he's the cleaner at manchester united doesn't mean to say he's got a better job

Going back to the previous posts by Bruce etc, I do nothink you can read into his signing that a takeover may nearer than we think. TBH IMO that is pure specualtion or at best wishful thinking. However I have always felt there is something going on at the club which is being kept under wraps more likely to do with a new ground IMO. I mean Moyes did not have to sign now, could have left till nearer the end of the season so why now? Hmmm.

Can we have wishful speculation?

Why now? Who knows: to get the critics off his back?; because he got what he wanted on cash/conditions of employment? As much as I'd like it to be so, I just can't subscribe to the thoery that his signing = imminent takeover.

IMO, we'll be sold when Kirkby finally bites the dust and there really is no way out for Kenwright. When the Sec. of State knocks Destination Kirkby back in it's current guise the vultures will start hovering over the club. Not a moments sooner.
