Everton finally got back to winning ways with a 3-2 victory against Watford at Goodison Park on Sunday evening. In this podcast, Adam is joined by the ever-present Groucho to look back on a game which turned out to be a much-needed tonic for the beleaguered Blues.

The pair rave about Oumar Niasse's dedication, ten thousand minutes of added time, and where this result leaves the search for the new manager.

Rooney was upset with himself because he can't do what he used to.

We all wanted Rooney to do well when he came back because he loves the club like we do, but he's not capable of doing what he used to.

I love Rooney for being an Evertonian but he needs to realise he's not good enough to make a significant contribution anymore.

He should have gone to China for the money.

We'd all have loved him to come back and be a success but he's not looked after himself and despite his occasional great pass he's not good enough to make a big impact.

Perhaps when there are better players in the positions with holes in right now, Rooney won't try to be everywhere (which he can't do). But he is still a fine footballer if he does not have to run everywhere, and his experience is important for the next generation coming up. And he kept his pyjamas.

It 's telling that we are relying on the most clumsy, awkward, unorthodox 'player' since Fellaini get us 3 points in a game at home against Watford ! but between his unbelievable energy, enthusiasm with his unique striking technique of stumbling, staggering and tripping the ball into the net combined with his total disregard for his safety (and anyone else's for that matter) when he attempts to get involved, like him or not he seems to be the only chance we have of unsettling opposition defences that might lead to a goal at the moment !
