What striker would you sign?

With not much money available, I"d have taken a free punt on Vardy FOR JUST THIS SEASON. Just to see if we could push for Top 6. Would have worried defences unlike our two, and just his name on the team sheet would have had oppo coaches thinking.

He obviously on big money,
But Toney would work well in our team imo, he’s 30 in March, but could be good for 3yrs. Problem is it’s an older player on a high wage. But we need some ready made players.
We’ve basically bought 2 first team players this summer

Beto has scored two goals this season, but I`d say DCL is well ahead on good chances missed, despite him only starting twice so far.
The fact that neither Beto or Barry are getting chances and DCL is in a worse team is a plus point for DCL. He is a much much better all round player than either Beto or Barry regardless of how many 1 v 1s he misses. It's possible for a centre forward to still do a good job for the team even if he isn't a prolific scorer. Beto and Barry just aren't offering anything. The ball just bounces off them, them don't relieve pressure, they don't stretch the game. They just don't contribute anything.

Difficult to say. I'd say another guy from abroad but Barry scored double figures for Villareal so he's hardly some dud, just settling in and struggling to adapt so far. Can barely remember him touching the ball last night and he had 25 minutes on the pitch so that is worrying.

Evan Ferguson name been floated in last year. He's starting regularly for Roma in Serie A so if he can score double figures there I'd like to be in the mix for him end of the season as Brighton will surely sell. Hard to believe he's still only 20.

Has a striker ever performed well under Moyes? At any club
Was thinking the same thing.
Turns out the highest scorer in a Moyes managed team is

Aside from Defoe, no out and out strikers.

He would have been a better shout than Barry on his current showing.

Trouble is, as much as we are crying out for a better striker we also need the midfield to be chipping in with more goals too. Fans cannot live on assists alone.
