What striker would you sign?

It doesn't matter….any striker would be hounded and wrote of the game he doesn't score 3….and misses his first chance.

Zero zero patience.

That pretty much applies to every single player who signs for Everton, no matter what position they play in.

Has a striker ever performed well under Moyes? At any club

Yak and Saha both did a decent job, albeit both were well known and established strikers who had done ‘it’ at multiple clubs over multiple seasons.
Think it’s his record with ‘potential’ that’s a bit questionable.
Beattie & AJ both had a good season / purple patch but were cheap in the grand schemes or things so hardly surprising neither really pulled up any trees here and we ultimately got what we paid for.

Oh and should have brought Richarlison back to play as a striker if our recruitment dept were so inept that Barry was the best they could muster

Barry has been very disappointing and Beto not as effective as he was towards the end of last season.

And then Moyes hoofed him after an injury, only for him to go on scoring for fun in the next two seasons.

he went awol on international duty, came back with no excuse, Moyes wasn't pleased, then he ruptured his achiles, then got a buttons move away and scored for a few games then disappeared. (half season championship leicester - season at blackburn) then a season in China where he scored in effectively non league then stopped scoring all together. In the pantheon of usual injuries footballers get, it's ACL top that finishes them, then achiles, some never make it back after a leg break.

I know Woltemade was completely out of our price range but I understand why he was targeted as a forward. He's the type we should be going for. Someone who is capable of playing football on the deck and interchanging with KDH, Ndiaye and Grealish.

Seems to have the ability to play with his back to goal and attacking crosses for efforts on goal. That changeability goes a long way to varying the build up towards goal.

Was he though? We spent his fee on Barry and Dibling who spend most of their time on the bench.
