Nah mate, unless that last place champions league place goes to Chelsea who can just spend another 500m then whoever it is will get absolutely destroyed at least a couple times next season in the champions league and finish lower in the league because of it, look at Newcastle this season with a far better squad than Bournemouth or Brighton or Brentford or us. (In fact after writing that I remembered even Chelsea got embarrassed by PSG this season).
I’d love to get into Europa or Europa conference… we’re not ready for champions league unless we had a best ever transfer window with about six top quality players coming in

Said this in another thread yesterday. I didn't expect Europe at the start of the season, but the opportunity has been there, within grasp for much of the season. The chance is still there, but it's fading away.

I get confused looking at all the different permutations. The only thing that is important really is that Everton win all 3 of their remaining games and then they might have a chance. No game is easy but we don't play any of the bigger teams and all 3 games are winnable. I will be disappointed if we don't after only winning once in the last 6. The fans in particular deserve a strong and happy end to the season.
