What matters more: cash or cups?

Yeah but Moyes with some money is better than most managers with a lot of money, one actaul run in the CL.. i.e group stages would provide him enough to mount a challenge to get back there again.
Look at this season, just fallling short at the last, image if we had that striker we went for and Fey and a little more. CL = real money.
I'd bet if we got there once, we'd get there again within two or three goes if we still had Moyes.

The CL run did not exactly bump Spurs into a Super Elite Club.

The side have been playing through fatigue and numerous injuries and knocks and that wear and tear has shown in the performances. The squad isnt big enough to cope with having a push in the LC and FA cup so finding the resources to manage in the CL will come from where? We dont have the bodies let alone the quality.

If we get there, Bill will give Moyes enough to buy a couple of players.
It doesn't take many games to rack up the money.. its worth over 10mil just getting to the group stages.. then 1mil for each win, 500k for a draw.
Its quite literally a football gold mine.
By the end of that and the league combined with the new TV deal Moyes would have 30mil plus to play with.
I reckon he could get us into top 4 again fairly quickly with that.

I dunno.. They appear to b fighting for 4th again are they not? They are above us which they never used to be, they spent 20mil net on transfers.. This is what I would like as the next step in our progress to the top. After that we can build again.
Its a better ambition than a cup and then back to obscurity again for 20 years imo.

They were above us before they got into top4......hence them getting CL football.

They ar not doing anything different than they did 10 years ago, in terms of Spending.

Give me an FA Cup win, over Spurs current situation, any day.

But we beat them, we are ack in competing with them for that 4th Spot.

Also They didnt spend to get that 4th postition, or spend loads on Wages. We are not far off them in term of spending in that time.

For this 4 year period Spurs have had, would you not swap an FA Cup win ??

I know which one will be remembered in 20 / 30 years time.

And the difference in prize money from 6th to 4th is less than 2 million. We pay most of that in a year just to agents.

! transfer fee of 15 mil buys you Fellaini, added to the money already coming our way, plus the extra for coming 4th, the additional TV revenue and your looking at a hefty pay out.
Give Moyes 5mil and he'll strengthen the squad, give him 20 and who knows.. I would love to find out. I'd also love more than 1 cup and mediocrity. When we get to that stage I want us to stay there.
