Honestly I'm not sure he does, I'm not confident he's well enough to handle the pressures again, just my opinion diagnosing him on the internet but I reckon he'd be a shadow of his former self. If he loved the game I reckon he'd have a good time dropping down the leagues.
If find it amazing one was chased out of the club, and the other has significant numbers of fans hanging on thinking he’s going to make some sort of miraculous recovery to his form 4 - 5 years ago.
We all remember Peter Reid's long spell on the sidelines for Bolton Wanderers before signing for us and being a pivotal cog in the engine room, so we can all dream it could happen once in a while, admittedly not very often.
I get the sentiment and I wish I could buy into it (and would love to be proven wrong) but even Reidys injury plagued time with Bolton he still managed to get on the pitch every season, in fact the fewest appearances over their 5 years in Div 1 was 12 or something. 78-83 he managed 76 games, Dele has, since 2020, made 51 inc 13 for us which much have been a sum total of 300mins.
They had better magic sponges in them days obviously, didn't realise he played so many during those bad injuries.
