What ever happened to…

I seem to remember years' ago we entered into a partnership with an Irish league club to enable us to take our pick of any promising youngsters ? Or maybe I'm channelling my inner Abe Simpson.

What happened about the legal dispute with a farm called Everton ?

Home Farm F.C. in Dublin.

Decades before that tie up we signed a very promising young lad from HF name of Martin Murray.

Billed as the “new George Best” we had great hopes for Matin back in 1976 but alas, the potential was never fulfilled 😞

Ah yes they used to be known as Home Farm Everton in the 90's. I think we had some development link for their best and up and coming youth talent with them.

They've actually been granted a licence for the newly created third tier in the league of Ireland which will be starting up later on this year.

I think he had quite a nasty injury after signing with us and some kind of heart issue?
