Think I read somewhere he'd been thrown into Putin's meatgrinder in Ukraine.Diniyar Biliyaletdinov.
He’s still running offside somewhere I’m sureOne of the last players we had with genuine pace (and little else to be fair) - whatever happened to Stuart Barlow?
Stuart Barlow, the former Everton footballer (born July 16, 1968), is a retired professional player who had a notable career including time at Everton in the Premier League during the early 1990s, where he made 88 appearances (many as a substitute) and scored 13 goals. He was part of Everton's 1995 FA Cup-winning squad, though he didn't play in the final. He retired from playing in 2009 at age 40 (or 41), after a stint with Bamber Bridge, turning down a contract extension to focus on family—specifically to support and watch his young son play football—and other pursuits outside the sport. Post-retirement, he initially stepped away from football, working in areas like a scaffolding business and helping with his wife's bridal shop business. He also coached his son at junior level (Formby Juniors). His last known involvement in football coaching was in November 2011, when he was appointed assistant manager at Colwyn Bay in the Northern Premier League (under player-manager Jon Newby). Sources like Wikipedia, Transfermarkt (which lists him as "Without Club" since that role, with no end date specified but no subsequent positions), and contemporary reports from around 2011-2013 confirm this. There are no public records or mentions of any coaching, managerial, or other football-related roles for him after that period, including nothing since 2020 or in recent years.Recent references to him (e.g., in Everton fan discussions, historical posts, or charity events like a 2025 Southport charity match where former Everton players including Barlow participated) are nostalgic or historical—focusing on his playing days, famous goals, or unusual signing story (from Sunday league at age 21). He appears to have kept a low profile since his assistant manager stint over a decade ago, with no evident current public activities in football or elsewhere based on available information. One of the last players we had with genuine pace (and little else to be fair) - whatever happened to Stuart Barlow?
He went to Norwich and bobbed around the championship for a while...Whatever happened to Vadis Odjidja-Ofoe, that fella we tried to sign on loan but ultimately missed the deadline? I remember he was well rated by a lot in Belgium and was expected to have a good career. Never heard of him after that though so clearly he wasn't what many said.
