What do you get from the chippy

Haven't bought fish from a chippy in years. Far too expensive for what you get these days.

Couple of jumbo sausages, chips, gravy, salt + vinegar.
Loads of buttered bread and a couple of beers

Sauce?

Battered king rib or battered haggis supper with lots of salt and vinegar.

Can you post a pic of a battered haggis supper and maybe push a fork in the middle to reveal the inside.

The quality of the haggis is key. I know the chippy I visit get their haggis from a local butcher. Very well seasoned, a peppery kick, and not dry at all.

The problem with most takeaways in the UK is that they just go for the cheapest stuff they can find, and don't care about the quality. Nice to hear the opposite

There's a place near me that make their own chicken shawarma and lamb donner and I'm obsessed with it

My local local does kebabs. Last time I went, large chicken kebab, mixed chicken Donner and a potion of chips £28, worlds gone mad

The old style takeaway is disappearing and being replaced by more of these cafe/coffee shop type eateries here. They put a few fancy words on the menu and place a few rustic looking ornaments around then charge $30 for a burger which is half the size it should be.
