Essays Shmessays. Besides, playing poker is research into human progress (just try chatting to some of the weirdos at the tables) and economic growth.

I've been concentrating on cash games for the past 6 months or so. Not big stakes, $50 and $100 NLHE. 4 - 6 tables. Not much edge left in those games though, it's a real grind.

I much prefer sngs and mtts though. I can kill the 9 man sngs and should be hammering those all day, but I can't resist the lure of the big mtt win.

I'm a fledging in poker just like my GOT life.

A mate in Japan taught me the basics, gave me some poker books to read and $5 to start playing 9man SNG's. I have done well in those and grinded out a bankroll.

I've also been lured to the MTT games recently but havent hit a big payout yet. Hate putting in all the time then leaving with nowt but tilt!

Rarely play cash games as everything I've read up to now has been mainly tournament based. I have to admit even though I've read Vol1 of harrington on cash games, I've yet to adapt to the switch over!
