One of the first slowcore-ish bands, although their music is a bit more dreamy than quiet/loud/quiet which a few were like at the time

The singer mark kozelek is a bit of an idiot which probably held them back a bit, but he is really good. Some of his solo stuff under Sun Kil Moon is brilliant, but he puts a lot of music out

Which sucks, because I love Red House Painters and Sun Kil Moon. "Benji" is an amazing record.

He has been a bit 'uncancelled' over the last few years, even by women journalists/critics.

My only theory is that the western world as a whole has got so bad with basic behaviours that he looks fairly normal now

3. YouTube has or is actively changing how they generate share links (most likely)

'cause I do still remember posting their song ' Drop' eons ago for @DualityNSNO because it brings back bad memories for me, which is why remember posting it.
