Really? I think Strap It On and Meantime (despite it being on a major label) are pretty abrasive

I also think that Betty still has the best drum sound in rock - and it's 28 years old (and created by a Hip Hop producer)

They're a decent band, my brother had "Strap It On". I like it, and I like Meantime and Betty, but they just seem to lack a bit of power and energy that's present on that live record.
