Because it's misunderstood. A girl I work with claims to hate jazz yet will say 'I like this' whenever I play Herbie Hancock or Two Banks of Four or even John Coltrane. Trying to explain the broad brush of styles is impossible.
I think jazz is possible, but rarely recognised.

I can hear mid 70s Weather Report in passages through this piece. Lots of Joe Zawinul influence here I would say. Sort of Mysterious Traveller meets Heavy Weather. Good stuff.

Love this band. Two of the best live shows I've seen in the last several years. Got this new record the day it was released and have played it thru 6x now. I just cannot get into it. Quite disappointing, really.

Maybe I'll come around someday.
