Uncovered this in France but they are actually from Curitiba in Brazil. They are called Audac:
I love the electronic sounds, the way the electric guitar is played and the bass. Definitely influenced by the 80's but in a good way. Its amazing how other cultures are able to come up with the exact combination of sounds you've always wanted but you never hear (anymore) from homegrown bands!
Good to see some countries are continuing to play proper pop/rock and there is a good representation of women who are playing major instruments and not just singing! Distant shades of Interpol in this one perhaps in some of the guitar lines.

their album is out today isn't it? Saw them live in Dublin early in the summer, they played a 5 or 6 song set, blew me away!
