Its gonna be another physical game. Will be interesting to see who will replace Fellaini. I reckon he'll shove Naismith up front and play Barkley on the right.
Got excited when I saw this thinking it was later in the week, still got 4 days left in work. Nice one for getting my hopes up Joao.
I remember two years ago away at West Ham around Christmas, I'd been to see Paul Karlkbrenner the night before. The worst I've ever seen us play and the worst I've ever felt. Horrible.
It might be an interesting (hopefully positive) psychological effect without No. 25 on the pitch. Other players will perhaps step forward and take more responsibility. COYB!!
WestHam plays with an aggressive defending style crowding the opposition off the ball -
slick passing and a wide game without depending on the long ball too much might work -
i would play with 2 strikers up front to spread their defense and make it more difficult for them to isolate our players -
WestBrom's single talented striker Long was effectively neutralized by them last week -
play Velios next to /behind Jelavic and replace the worst of them after the break with Naismith or even Anichebe to get us out of the drawing rut we have fallen into lately-
play our tallest defenders because they believe we are vulnerable against the high ball into the box ( like last week )-
when last have we seen a beautifully struck Everton goal from distance ? we have passed / squeezed too many (or too few maybe ) for my liking lately - in the last game we depended on the opposition to even do it for us -
Come on Everton show us you can !
If we were to lose, at least the 4th place talk could go on the back burner for a while and the games would be a little less stressful. All the high expectations have taken some of the fun there was in watching us out, or at least ramped up the stress factor. A few years ago we'd have been pleased enough with a point at Stoke and optimistic about kicking on from there.
