Wow Holgate is quickly becoming our best player. Consistently brings quality to our side. Always rated him but never expected this.

Also our midfield is always going to hold us back. They’re supposed to be the ones that transition the ball but are constantly hiding meaning we fart around at the back until we can hit it long. Cannot WAIT for big daddy Andre to come back.

Exactly. When your current options are Delph and Davies, with only Morgan and Gylfi as any form of experience replacement, it's naive to expect any stylish play.

It is definitely distinctly average. Realistically 7 or 8 needed for the first 11 over next couple of windows to genuinely be a top six team, really think we need at least one midfielder and attacker in this window or else it is a case of get to 40 points and write off.

Frustrating I know but I would rather accept this as a dead season and do things properly in summer, rather than splurge yet another 20/30m on a player just to get a new body in (see Tosun, Walcott, Kean, etc.).
