Awful performance for me. VAR though is making a complete mockery of the game. Can't remember who it was but it was only a couple of weeks ago someone was sent off by Oliver using pitch side monitor for attempting a headbut that was an attempt at a headbutt at a minimum so he should have been sent off. I'm all for VAR but it's consistency is absolutely awful.

Digne has to do more than this to earn the title of one of our "must keeps". Baines would be no worse even at the age he is and possibly a hell of a lot better. Don't think I've ever seen a defender brushed of the ball so easily.

He has been known to score at the youth level so I could have seen him thriving in a freeish role. Can’t have been less effective than Kean (and Niasse when he came on ).

Easy pick, Holgate was outstanding today and is turning into a really good defender. First name on the team sheet for me every game.

A bit too much calling players yet again ,he has the bare bones with the squad so of course some are getting a game that won't soon and hopefully never again but that is where we are .It is much better than losing as we might well have done with Silva in charge .Mason once again the MOM for me .

Regardless of what some will say, we've had a fair few terrible VAR decisions go against us this year like many other teams: it's the system that is flawed.
