It appears that moyes has moved to sign Johann Vogel on a free transfer from spanish side 'Real Betis'.

The 5'9" swiss international arrives via grasshoppers (swiss) PSV Eindhoven (dutch) AC milan (italy) and Real Betis (spain)

Johann celebrated his 30th birthday on march 8th of this year.

At Grasshoppers he played Centre back and right back, although on occasion was utilised as a central defensive midfielder.

89 swiss caps, 5 goals.

Right, now all thats out of the way the part most interesting to me is that there were no paper rumours, no bullshit internet chatter on some 'no-mark news site' like 'tribal football' 'vital football' 'fans-football' 'football voice' 'soccer news' or whatever title they have awarded themselves.

Moyes went about (possibly) recruiting this experienced european player without any fuss or agent shenanigans and the first we heard of it was when the story appeared on the 'Official Site'.

Thats quite some feat considering the reputation the club has for allowing information to slip out into the public domain.

And, it looks as though my "personal guarantee of more signings" was right on the money.

:smug:

No crystal ball, just common sense.

(and i was inaccurate in posts previous - bent and cahill was a very small spending summer)

I think many people on this site knew there would be more signings. As has been said many times up to now, Moyes knows his way of doing things works, and long may it continue. Understandable that people get jittery, but as I have said before. Judge when the season starts as we do not know what is going on behind the scenes.

He pretty much clued us in at the very start. It will be late for any major activity and a least one main signing with two loans. My guess is he wants to do more business if he can offload a player or two at the right price. It's getting to be crunch time.

just a few more decent squad players would do me. A spunk creating signing would only be to sort out the left hand side of defence and attack. That is what I am hoping for.

Help Wanted.

Fair pay for a left sided middie with pace, even better if you possesed a good crossed ball and can bag seven to ten goals a season. Have a happy go lucky attitude and refrain from the trainers table at all costs. If you meet the specs and want to play for a up and coming team. Well hear we are.

Thats who I feel we lack any ideas?

I still see a left sided defender or central defender because of Yobos absence a must. I'm hoping three more new faces.

Was on here first :P

well my choice of bridge is a no go, he has a fractured pelvis and is out till october - november.

im not convinced on 'baines' or 'shorey'.

heinze is leaving man ure, but 6 mill looks a bit steep.

valente played a full gave the other day, nevs has played LB for england, lescott is too good for words, and boyle is being brought through.

Sanchez wants Franck Queudrue out of Fulham, at 2 mill he could be a possibility, but i'd prefer not.
