I know Billy might not be everyones cup of tea but you would have thought that they might have discussed his goal after the game. Never mind, I think we were 4th on, does that mean we qualify for Europe?

I was hoping they would too, but it was one of the better highlight reels. At least Shearer had a few nice things to say about Ossie.
 
I really thought they would have atleast said "and what a strike" at the end, it was brilliant and if it was Rooney they would be W*nking over it, replaying it from every possible angle for 3 minutes, then comparing it to other great goals from the past
 
putting us on 3rd for once doesnt make up for all the cack we`ve put up with when getting shown at the arse-end every week but like they say Trevor - beggars cant be choosey. the more i see billys goal the better it gets

Me too mate. I reckon you've got 3 goal of the month contenders in one game here, the fantastic build up play for Beckford, Bily's is just super, and Phil because he has blonde flecks.
 
Billy's goal was a stunner. If you look carefully at a tv replay, there are people who turned away behind the goal, cos they thought it was gonna hit them. Not seen such ferocity in a shot for along time.
After hopeless first 20 minutes it was a cracking day out...3-0 up at half time happens only in my dreams
 
I thought they might have shown the Moyes Beckford bust up too. Good to see Lawro correcting Lineker on DM- 'He's a top manager.'
 

It was good to see Shearer praising Ossie, he is often ignored by the media no matter how well he plays. It is a travesty he has never had an England cap when you look at some of the ****e that has been capped.
 
I've actually stopped watching it now. Clearly they don't want our custom. If the repeat is on Sunday morning I'll watch it, other than that, not really arsed about it anymore. 90 minutes to show cast football and they waste it with innane "analysis"
 
I've often thought that there's very little in the way of insight on MOTD.

We may all consider ourselves experts in football, but then the world of tactics can seem like a mystery.

Lee Dixon would often point out a significant element of the game that was not obvious, or went unnoticed at the time but which had a bearing on the outcome.

Unfortunately Shearer, Lawro et al have never said anything interesting. Usually they come out with observations even the stupidest fan you have to sit next to in the ground can come up with.

It was a great goal/ Osman played very well / That was a good cross / Great defending.
 
Well all i can say is we get more highlights on MOTD than we did on the premiership [or whatever it was called] on ITV were we got just the goals most weeks and no highlights of the chance's in the game
