Right, if some lid was stood in front of me .. hands up and kicking me in the legs..... I would just feckin destroy him... no headlocks and cuddles..... I would go through him.... if he hit's me and puts me down fair play he's the better man but I don't need to be crawling on no floor in a full boston crab for 10 minutes to win a fight...... step up have a row get paid and get home ...simples.

But the point is if you tried to 'feckin destroy him' he'd knock your lights out before you laid a finger on him.

It's not really simples because there's hundreds of thousand pound on offer and a lifetime of training. It's not like you'd expect a boxer or rugby player to just get paid and go home without worrying about the result.

Some of the groundwork is really entertaining and very technical but some is boring to be fair. It sounds like you've just seen a few bad fights.

I don't get cricket either. ODIs are decent but a connection with the ball once per over in test matches is crap.

But that's like saying 'we'll play with 5 forwards today and if they win they were the better team on the day'.
