I don't think we miss him as such. I think we badly miss Barkley. Schneiderlin and Gueye aren't bad players at all, but they're badly exposed without that link player that drifts into gaps and is a ball carrier.

The reason he left is that he wanted to play every week and we couldn't guarantee him that.

Was thinking this yesterday but we can't be relying on players like Barry. As good as he's been he's too old now. I think it shows the type of midfielder we're missing though. He's different to Gana/Schneiderlin and Davies and that's the kind of player we're missing as one of the 2 in the centre.

Nah, he moved on for the right reasons and at the right time for him.

We've got enough quality in that position, they just need to be more disciplined imo.

He is not tearing trees up at WBA - as for stopping Gray he would have had to rugby tackle him = red card!

No we don't.

He wasn't at the level anymore we needed and was not mobile enough to play that role. Plus he was a booking waiting to happen every week which we have enough of. Barry would have made no difference to our fortunes so far other than being another player in the squad
