Transfer Rumour Wayne Rooney

Thankfully he shouldn't play much at Everton either, so all signs point to 'Murica or China.

He could go to the States, no way him & Coleen will be having China though imo.

I still think he's favourite to come to us though, as he's still got a point to prove at PL level.

I've cooled on the idea, but I still think we'll be watching him at Goodison next season mate.

this is a bit off topic but the amount of history rewriting done by cringey know nothing millennial whoppers is getting out of hand.

perfect example is that Rooney article on BBC at the moment, comments sections is full of tits trying to rewrite history and make out he was never that good and was only ever a mid table calibre player carried by rest of his United team mates.

the abuse this lad gets off the average clueless footy fan is criminal, sure he's nowhere near the player he used to be but he was a top top player up until at least 2010 (and probably later). United fans have got to be the most ungrateful little **** in world football, they should be permanently licking his rim after what he's done for them over the years.

He's at us next season i think, chance for him to prove a point at his boyhood club he would be happy to retire now with what hes won but a trophy at us would top it for him and he i think would help us he is a winner with a winners mentality, he wont want to move his family to china and they wouldnt have to move house

100% agree

Because hes had the mancs over a barrel with his last 2 contracts, its made them very bitter

He was the best player in that united team after Ronaldo left.

The only threat to one of the best teams ever, barcelona, in that final at wembley (he also scored).

Think it was to his detriment that he was so versatile, Ferguson could play him anywhere around the attacking position and he'd put a proper shift in. Played only as a 10 he might've developed even more.

I usually find BBC comment sections are full of mostly middle aged people, but yeah, throw a lazy dig in at 'millennials'.

Fact is, regardless of age, most football fans are morons that get 95% of their knowledge and opinions from echo chambers of pure tosh like talksport, Sky Sports or whatever platform gives actual money to hear Garth Crooks, Dean Windass, Rio Ferdinand, Robbie Savage and so on, spew whatever half-baked soundbites their two brain cells have rubbed together at short notice.

Im all for having a front four of:

RAM - Ross
CAM - Rooney
LAM - Sandro
ST - Lukaku

I think that's all hypothetical though, Lukaku will be off so Maybe replace him with a youngster like Dolberg. Having Rooney as the experienced head in the middle of the front four would do the kids around him the world of good.

I think Rooney will be class for us. Given enough game time, he will perform better and Koeman emphasises fitness so we could see Wayne in decent shape and being a leader at Everton, something we need.
