I stopped watching after 70th minute but looks like it was even worse then.
I have no idea what the game plan was. First ten minutes, it was like high pressure on their defensive line, forcing them to play long balls. After that, control switched to Everton a little bit but all that impatience and rush in Watford half led to inaccurate passing and not sustaining any attacks let alone finishing any. Walcott and Siggy did not get the balls they wanted, Davies and Rooney, especially Rooney, struggled huge when delivering the ball forward. Some patience with ball control and accurate passing could easily dissolve Watford defense but there were even no 5 back-to-back passes in the attacking area.
When you lose the ball that much, Rooney alone got the team on the wrong foot for 3 times and made them all sprint 50 meters back, you get tired and it looks like team play collapsed after 70th minute. Watford got the control back and sustained some attacking play which led to a silly goal yet again.
Hoofball tactics will not get us anywhere, some decent build-up play, like Leicester game, is direly needed.
