Those Presage models are some of the best bargains out there for a nice dress watch with good movement. If I recall, their only drawback is they have hardlex "crystal" instead of sapphire, and the former is very prone to scratches.

Kind of. Any kind of repeater is normally an ‘on demand’ chime - press the button to hear the time by the number of times it rings, etc.

But this is just a single chime on the hour (which can be turned off). Still impressive. Still charming. A little hard to read the time though.

Thanks for the clarification. I remember when this came out and it seemed like a really interesting complication for CW to focus on given they are still relatively new to the industry. I now understand the phrase "Sonnerie au passage" that @Chris Martin pointed out to me.
