Was there that night, we had maybe 1000 there, pretty certain the gate was believe it or not 26000,told this to a manc a few years ago and he wouldn't have it lol
I was at that game as well,it was in the week of the cup final v Liverpool. There was a lot of hostility towards Alex Ferguson that night from their fans, how things would change! I seem to recall they had a few attendances that dipped well below 30000 in that period.

Just watched todays match time revisited, a cracking Inchy Heath goal away at Man City in 1982, but how did we win that game against a 10 man City for most of the game after Trevor Francis sent off ? We battered them after that.

I became an Everton fan 7 years ago so I'm wondering what are top of the best Everton matches from the past that I should watch?

So far I have watched...

1. 1984 FA Cup Final
2. 1995 FA Cup Final
3. 1986 Everton v. Chelsea 03/16/1986

Bayern Munich 1985
Luton fa cup semi 1985
Spurs fa cup semi 1995

Many more classics out there but I would start with them 3 if it was me.

Besides the obvious ones like cup finals, derby victories and relegation escapes, try this one from 2012
