Yep, I remember Kraft shutting and Dunlops, Tate and Lyle, to name but a few.
Dunlop were still using the same machines me Ma worked on in the war...but it was all about Idle workers and the unions, nothing to do with no investment for 25yrs, 'kin bosses.
