I just seen a crow swoop down to try and get a magpie, magpie got away like, didn't realise crows were predators.

It certainly wasn't trying to predate the magpie. Maybe it strayed to close to a nest? These species are not tolerant of each other at all with crows usually being the aggressor.

Dunno mate happened over a busy road, crow swooped down almost grabbed it n the magpie ran under a parked van. I seen a peregrine falcon do the same to a pigeon last year as well, nature in action
