LOL.

Two of them ran past me a few years ago on Helvelyn.

We were half way up and they’d past us, got to the top and then past us again on the way down.

Cotton vests and shorts wearing Walsh old skool fell runners !
Have you tried the longmynd 50 mile hike??

Are you talking Munro’s now? As there’s only 14 peaks in Wales above 3000ft.

The challenge is to do all 14 in a single 24 hour push. You climb snowden and the clock starts when you touch the trig point. You finish the challenge at Aber falls. You cover 26 miles and 17000 ft of vertical ascent and then have a 3 hour walk from the finish point to the car park in Aber...It’s a mega challenge
Yeah.

What makes me laugh is that I set off for a day in the mountains with full waterproof kit, rucksack, food, water etc... and you quickly get overtaken by some 65 year old bounding past you like a deranged mountain goat wearing only a vest and shorts!
They always seem to say things to me like 'it'll get easier' as they stride off into the distance.

Last time I was walking Pendle Hill I saw a Red Kite. I was genuinely excited to see it. Hadn't seen one in about 20 years before that.
I have to dodge them every day whilst driving my kids to school. When you get up close to them you soon realise just how massive they are. They have huge wingspans

Yeah when I saw one as a kid my dad stopped the car on the side of the road and made us get out to look at it. Seemed pretty small from memory, but the one near Pendle was massive.
