With the best will in the world we're talking about replacing Mykolenko and Keane here. You hardly need to be signing Alphonso Davies and Saliba to be moving in the right direction, if the recruitment team can't find attainable upgrades on the two of them then frankly they aren't fit for purpose.

I just don't reckon it's a case of not being able to identify, it's a case of say we have 50 mil to spend, do we want to spend at least half of that money if not more on replacing adequate squad players when other positions are a higher priority?

I'd rather Everton spend money on a right back, holding mid and a right winger before they look to upgrade on Mykolenko and Keane.

Yet are often much worse when he doesn’t play.

I think comparing his effort to that of McNeil was a big insult tbh, the guy has been a terrific servant to the club over 2 spells.

It’s not a reason to cling to him just because other players are worse. We’ve played well this season without him. The club didn’t fall apart when he left the first time. Move him on and get someone better in.

Why would you 'hate' any Everton player?

If you're a fan, you should want every player to do well - it's kind of the point.

There's fans on here who can't wait for players to make a mistake.

They'd rather be right about a player than see us do well.

I’d rather see us do well. Which is why I don’t like Keane McNeil Gueye still being in the team. How many seasons does it need to be before it doesn’t become an u reasonable opinion? I didn’t ’hate’ Michael Keane when he signed in 2017, I wanted him to do well. He’s then given me 9 years of some of the worst centreback play I’ve seen from Everton defenders in the premier league. Seen countless managers out the door, driven us to the brink of relegation, thrown away numerous results for us. Should we just keep blindly backing him for another few seasons and see if he turns it round? Should I still back McNeil after he just gifted Liverpool a goal on the derby for no reason whatsoever and has put in stinker after stinker for years?

I don’t like these players because they’re destroying Everton. I want to be proven wrong about them every single week but they never do.

It's very melodramatic - 'hating' Keane, McNeil, Gueye because 'they're destroying Everton'.

Keane and Gueye have played very well in games this season.

McNeil hasn't had a good season but the lad's had difficult issues off the pitch to deal with.

Maybe your hatred has blinded you from being able to see or acknowledge this.

There's very little prospect of achieving anything with the likes of Mykolenko and the Burnley Brothers in the team. The hierarchy knows this, but they don't care.

Feels like we can't go a day without some sort of damning indictment these days.

There will be significantly better full backs available on a free. He's arguably the worst starting left back in the league.
