it looked like he had a knock, a dead leg type knock, in the challenge in the first minute when it went out for our throw. It was right in front of me.

Still no replacement - but we have just loaned a injury prone CF from Chelsea who is injured lil mid October?

Haven't had a decent replacement for any LB for years. This one LB policy has caused enough dropped points.

Marc Hottinger was a better defender than this fella, albeit on the right side of I recall correctly. This guy wouldn't get a game anywhere else in the league and nobody can argue that.

Dyches negative/deep defence, with Branthwaite drags him up to bring capable of 6/10 performances. Just hope he doesn't make a mistake.

But I honestly think he's the worst left back I've had to watch at Goodison. Yes, worse than Pistone.

I dont think he'd get in any other Premier League starting 11.

I think that's a bit strong. I would keep him as a backup if we can get a decent left back.

Apparently I've heard we turned down an approach from Napoli who wanted to sign him whilst we were negotiating over Lindstrom as well.

Fee bandied around was over 20m...

I voted for him a few times.

After saying in my opinion I think he'd our worst premier league left back.

Low expectations. If he doesn't make a mistake, it's a 'good' game.

He has never created a single Premier League assist and I don't think he ever will.

Oh and Andre Gomes pissed our player of the season one season. As did Mason Holgate.

Brought in another decent paced CB (I wanted the lad at Montpellier) and gone 3 at the back.

Instantly removes all the issues with us being the weakest at FB by miles. And Dixon probably develops better getting games not as an out and out RB but as a wingback or even right mid in a 3-4-3.

Still think Thelwells recruitment is with that as the near future aim.

Also Broja, Lindstrom, Ndiaye even Harrison would suit that wide ten spot.

In an incredibly poor team though. He’s miles behind Digne and Baines thats for sure.
