Needed perking up, and this thread delivered. Very colorful. I reckon we all empathise with the Ukrainians and the plight of what's happening there. And there has been support for him and them, and that's a credit to humanity and all.
This young man didn't play football as a kid, I'm convinced. Apparently on the books of Kyiv at 13/14 years old. It's to late by then. Technique, positioning, alertness, communication, anticipation,
developing use of the ball, all needs to have been an ongoing education well before that age. There's a reason clubs are scouting kids in the uk at 6 and 7 years old.
Is doing his best to hide on the field, doesn't fancy involvement to limit his being at fault for any screw ups. But that's not the mindset of a defensive unit, that's playing selfish and cowardly. I'm aware the players can notice the crowd and the groans and shouts and murmurs when the expected happens. That's top level (?) sport.
The blame lies squarely at the trotters of the bloated fat pig of a twit* that went out of his way to fall out with Digne and so flogged him as quick as he could and got in someone, anyone to fill the gap. That someone was
Mykolenko, and the fee was obscene.
