Apparently I've heard we turned down an approach from Napoli who wanted to sign him whilst we were negotiating over Lindstrom as well.
Fee bandied around was over 20m...
Maybe not mate, would seem a bit mental if they did to not sell.
Dont think Dyche would agree to sell his only left back.
Mykolenko is a warrior the way he's played through injury in his first season, played on after some mindboggling 'knocks' and now seemingly playing when injured.
I wonder if Napoli made an enquiry but were told:
A: Not for sale
B: £20-25mil (i saw those numbers online)
His contract (as well as Garner/
Tarkowski) expires in 2026.
I expect he will be sold at the end of this season for £15mil+
I actually think Kev would rather play 3 at the back longer term then we would need more of a wing back, I think it also suits the likes of Dixon/Mills if they come good on the other side but its not a role for Mykolenko though who seems to have lost his fitness and form.
He'd play LCB in a 3. Would be good if we could unearth a left sided Dixon to push
Mykolenko for his place. Lewis Hall was the only LB in the recent u21 squad so perhaps a weak area in England.
Playing like he did when he was injured for ages but the club didn’t say anything, and everyone was on his case.
Looked bad before he got the knock on Saturday, went worse.
I feel for the lad, he’s a trier and worker, normally quite solid in defence but a very limited footballer.
He’s back pocketed a number of the leagues best wingers before today and will do again.
He will also look better once he’s fit and branthwaite is back in the side.
Think hes playing with an injury again.
If anything it highlights how poor Keane is, seemingly over the years anyone next to him has a subpar game.
