The vindaloo from Wetherspoons is the hottest curry I've ever had - and I'm no curry virgin.

Thing is it caught me by surprise. I expected a timid microwave meal standard thing because it's, well, Wetherspoons. But it was insane. I could almost see through time halfway through it.

What's the hottest curry you've had?

Wetherspoons is actually pretty decent food tbh! I approve.

Went to a Muslim wedding (being serious btw) and we had this curry which literally almost made me cry actual tears of pain. Had to dash outside to get some air in my mouth. Absolutely horrendous. Im quite good with hot food, and I hate creamy food, but that was just ridiculous.

HAHA.

The award for least likely sentence ever typed on GOT goes to ......................

Has the heat of this curry shaped your views on integration Nikolai?

Never said I disliked the individual lads. I dislike the religion. Much like I dislike Liverpool Football Club, doesnt mean I wouldnt have Liverpool fans as friends!

And another thread descends into "teeheehee look at Nik, he's such a racist..."

Right, try and get this one back on topic, hottest I've ever had was a Naga dish that utterly ruined me. I never normally venture anywhere above a Madras.

SOZ IT JUST INFURIATES ME.

Anyway aside from that, I thought I'd be Mr. Big Bollocks and get a vindaloo from the local curry house. Never. Again. Still wasnt as hot as the one we had at the wedding but jeez it was close.

I don't really get the enjoyment of the proper hot ones. The medium hotness just adds to the flavour but with the really hot ones it's just unpleasantness and difficulty finishing the meal with no no gain.

It's the sort of thing you do when you're 16 to prove how manly you are, like holding your hand in a bunson burner or watching stoke City for 90 minutes. Call me a wimp if you want but I'd rather not undergo something unpleasant for no reason.

Anything that isn't a korma or a masala and I'm out.

Good grief. Creamy curry's are the worst. I'm with you on something TOO hot being unenjoyable but come on mate. What about a Bhuna or Jalfrazi?

I actually quite enjoy the taste of Madras, flavour wise I find it better than anything else. Maybe a Jalfrezi sometimes but normally the Madras. And always chicken. Must be chicken*

*or whichever local creature the curry house in question uses as a chicken substitute

Oh yes, defo has to be chicken. Although I did try a lamb something or other and it was divine.

My local Thai take-away is called Yumm's when i was p!ssed up one night i thought i'd be hard and try a her special called Yumm's curry(original name), when i strolled up to collect it she gave me this evil smile and laughed 'YUUUMMMM CUUUURRRRY' i was a bit worried as my spice level is normally madras or a bit hotter. Anyway even eating it at the same time as an ice lolly i only managed 2 mouth fulls, never again.
