Victor Anichebe - what can we expect?

The stick he's getting from some people is daft.

Honestly 6 million, I think we've got the best price somebody would pay for him at this moment in time, good deal on our part.

If the guy uses his natural attributes to his potential, you'll have a beast of a buy. Our best striker last season imo (which isn't saying much)

Hope he does well for you 36/38 games of the season!

Aye agree with that. I wish him well too, one our own who came through the ranks. Some boss moments in Europe.

Strengths - strong, hard to shake off the ball, an occasional ability to find a shot from nothing - works hard when in the mood - flexible. Can be a bit of a beast when really in the mood.

Weaknesses - sometimes a bit moody - has been known to throw a strop on the training pitch and feign an injury or two (but that seems to have be in the past now).

Always thought Vic would make, came on a lot last season. Alas it wasn't to be.

6 mil is a good fee for us and I'd much rather have Lukaku, however I find it weirdly sad he's gone. Probably because he's local and came through the ranks and all that.

Once a Blue ... and all that "once Everton touches you" speech:

Vic: “It was a wrench to leave Everton. I had been at Everton 15 years since I was a child so it was difficult to leave. But I think it was the right time to leave.

“When you move somewhere – especially after being at Everton for so long and Everton being my team, I love Everton – for me to leave there has to be some connection and I felt that with West Brom. When I knew there was interest I knew I was going to come here..

To the west brom fan - victor has an attitude that led to him refusing to celebrate goals he scored for a few months because he wasn't starting games. Not always like that, but a lot of the time

Definitely worth giving him a chance at another club - he will score 10 goals or so, and as as been said, sulk a bit

Hope he does well for yuz, he's a good lad and can be a real handful to defenders. There ain't many people stronger than him at holding the ball up ( when he's on form ).

Apart from his name being spelt incorrectly, what can we expect from him?

What are his strengths and weaknesses?

Quite looking forward to seeing him in action, although I feel quite deflated the fact we lost someone else but I also believe we've paid over the odds for him. Hopefully, in the long run, it might prove to be some good business.

Good luck with the remainder of the season - here's hoping "the fridge" (christ knows why we named him that) shoves a few past the red side of the city!!

BEAST MODE

There's a player in there somewhere. He's yet to show it on a consistent basis though.

£6 million for a 25-year-old striker who's only scored 26 goals in his entire career...... I can see why it was hard to turn down.
