Vaughan to Cardiff - £1mill

Bothroyd is out of contract in the summer. It might be an idea to give them Vaughan in exchange for his early release. What else can we do with £1 mill?! I'm not thrilled by the idea, as he'll be 29 come next season, but he does have 13 goals in 17 games so far this season for Cardiff. Maybe he could be a short term fix?

I've always liked Peter Whittingham. Perhaps he could do a job replacing Pienaar?

Whittingham has a sweet left foot and I'd take Boothroyd right now.

Pennies to rub together - yeehaw!!!!!!!!!!!!!! At least it shows we're wheeling and dealing!

£1m is a joke! I like Vaughan, just too bad he had a lot of injuries and so young, if it weren't for that he'd be something big now. I don't blame him if he wants to go, he'll never get a game at Everton and he knows it. I wish him all the best

I'm sure they'll negotiate and come to something better than that opening price.

The problem with selling to championship clubs though, is that they really don't have very much money at all. What with the leap between the PL and second tier being as big as it is, financially speaking. So I don't think we can expect much more than that, from any championship team.

Okay - but it's still the opening bid. Even if we get only another 500K pounds I'll take it.

Doesn't the rumour say it's a done deal?

If so, then I'd assume there's no further negotiations to be done. As always though, there will no doubt be add-ons. Seeing as Cardiff are doing well, and you get a lot of money for being promoted, I wouldn't be surprised to see a bonus for us if they get promoted.

I think the best course of action though is to just wait, and see what actually happens. Because who the flip knows what really goes on (besides LCAB and THT, of course).

Don't see is getting more than £1m for him. And to be fair £1m is about right. He's shown so much promise but injuries have messed him up. That reduces the price drastically.
He also hasn't set the Championship alight when he has been on loan.
Price sounds about right to me.

We couldn't afford him at £500k and even though he was great for us, a lot of Palace fans would have questioned £1m for him, although that is probably down to how much cash we have rather than how much he is worth. Anyway,we now have another exciting young prospect in Stefan Iverssen who scored on his debut yesterday in a very nervy win over a desperate PNE. (They are easily the worst side that I have seen at this level for about five years.) Never mind Unsey (who looks like he has eaten all the pies these days), Mouriniho would struggle with that lot.
Give Vaughany a chance, what is there to lose ?
