Usmanov

Which is in a way a huge shame as on certain things - financials etc he was a good poster and actually a really nice bloke to boot.

Then again, the summer and subsequent actions have shown he wanted a higher profile to gain more of an audience, which ultimately he has achieved, so whatever the original motives - fair play - he got what he wanted.

His threads on the moneys were a joy to read and he is a really nice fella, just a shame that, IMO, hes being lied to on a grand scale by certain people.

But anyway.

Welcome to Everton Alioops.

Sadly Alimorg Usmanfrand there is no chance with this

Only my fellow Everton frandels could interpret him trying to buy Arsenal outright as him really trying to buy Everton. I love us, we are Frandly but mental

It's not only Evertonians though is it??

It's national newspaper reporters who support Arsenal also.

Any investment firm worth their salt would be all over them. Not to mention the Chinese. But ok, that's business.

Agreed, not even counting the sheer amount of contacts who'd more than willingly do a favour for Usmanov - especially a favour that is a sure fire safe investment

Then again why would anyone want to do a favour for Britains richest man and the worlds 37th richest person for...

Actions speak louder than words mate, actions show that he is not adverse to having an audience hanging on what he says.

Easy to lie to someone and for them to buy that lie when they are getting what they want out of repeating the information

Paul also completely ignores any counter argument and just restates his opinion mate, I tried to discuss that with him a few times, very frustrating

the confusing one was him stating today that Usmanov owning Everton would not substantially change anything for us in terms of transfers etc, which is frankly absolutely preposterous.

As you say Paul's a lovely bloke. I agree with him on lots of things. Overall I think he's a bit pro Moshiri and very sceptical of the Usmanov thing.

If I'm honest I wonder if he's quite close to the Moshiri camp who want it known Usmanov is very distant to us and have briefed him.

If you were a Gooner - think you are great - never remember football pre-Premiership you are going all Blud & Fam about Usmanov potentially taking over. That's the answer. Been hard done too - moved from the Library, got a first class stadium but been let down as promised to compete with Europe's elite - but the American dollar hasn't delivered. Usmanov in they tweet from the Silver Ring.

The Gooners I know from old do tt go the match much these days because you can't get a ticket Blud. All changed Scouse they tell me, been let down, Arsene out.

You know what? I hate Arsenal and all their cheap celebrity fans and their sense of entitlement - only once I have cheered the Gunners - forget the hype - Mickey T did it for us that famous night at Anfield. God blessed him - a wonderful footballer taken too early. I was there when Adams scored that goal on the Sunday when they won the league - Drayton Park boozer full of Blues - we had to win that day to stay up. But we were hopeless on the day, tried to keep it tight - undone early and no other plan. Big name signings at the start of that season hid on the day, they knew and so did I by the lack of effort on the day. But back to Arsenal and today - they represent everything that's wrong today with togger - one billionaire should be ousted for another is the complaint. Hard done too....really?

Got the investment in spades, bank balance bulging, global sponsorship, new ground, so how can they complain? Look at us and who has been harder done to since football began with Premiership. No Invincibles season for us...a three match unbeaten run gets press coverage. No FA Cup wins. No Champions League. No Titles. And they have been hard done too...and need change.

Sobering how far we have fallen behind a bang average side pre - Premiership. I feel no sympathy what so ever - I hope big Stan stays, takes his dough and let's them rot. Usmanov? He has his fingers in every pie and he's fingering us on the side while his Trophy missus gets shafted elsewhere.

He actually right, the same limits would still apply to how much non organic revenue could be put into the club.

Same limits ofc would apply.

Now here is the caveat, 'did we use those limits'?

we where able to raise wages by approx 54m or so this season after sales to free up STCC, we increased it by approx 9m

under FFP rules we could have spent a lot more than 20m net

Our top earner is on roughly 90k per week

Do you not think Usmanov would rip up that wage structure to pieces?

Chelsea and City got where they are by paying massive wages bankrolled by their owners mate, STCC is so easily gotten around with clever sales that it is not a limiting factor in the slightest, what does limit though is having a very stringent wage structure

So same limits apply, which Usmanov would have clearly used, and trust me a premier league club owned by Usmanov would have agents creaming their kecks over getting players to join
