It's all a figment of my mind
In a world that I designed
Charged with cosmic energy
Has the world gone mad or is it me

Da da da da da da da da :D

you will regret for your whole life not going to uni.

it will hit you at times when you least expect it.

a degree wont make you life but it will get you on the first rung of the ladder. if you have the chance to go to UEA then go grab it.

i used my degree to come and work in korea... the rest was my own doing and i'm happy to say i've open a pretty successful small business here. without a degree it would have been impossible. the cost of the degree was nothing comapred to the doors that are open to me now.

so my advice? go for it and brighten your future!!

Is there actually any point?

In two year's time I'll have a piece of paper and a massive amount of debt, will it help me get a better job or is it just an excuse to get hammered on a regular basis?! (which is no bad thing obviously...)

In two years time you will have a piece of paper and a massive amount of debt.

or

In two years time you will be in a position of strength in the job market, you will, I hope, be able to progress to a job you enjoy and that will pay you well. You will have the benefit of a good education, contacts, and the confidance that comes from personal achievement.

University is not for everyone. Some can choose university over vocational study. Others never get the chance to make that choice. I can assure you it is harder to make your way in life without qualifications. Harder, but not impossible. I left school at 16 with a certificate for swimming, a black eye, and a smile on my face. I have worked for and managed graduates, I've had crap jobs and rewarding jobs and I've seen some amazing things around the world. I have been on better money than I am on now.

What I'm trying to say is that there are many points in favour of university and it will pay off in the long term. Stick at it mate.

Getting hammered on a regular basis is good as well.(y)
