Don't see it as a hurdle to clinching the deal, with only 12 months left on his contract I can't envisage a big release clause. Convincing emery Everton is big enough to realise his ambition is a much bigger hurdle.
Well Everton are big enough mate it's the media that make out were not and were the victims of it getting a big name manager in would be a big statement mate I'm glad kenwright was to busy in goodison yesterday if the reports were true about us interviewing in Milan on Saturday out of sight and out of mind

Not really, but then it's not like the season starts in 2 weeks..

It's not mate you are right.

However there is quite a big upheaval this season on the playing staff, probably more so than ever, so the sooner they get their man in the sooner that can commence.

It's quite a big job IMO with lots of players out of contract who will need replacing so new targets need identifying before they are lost due to uncertainty.

i'm not wanting them to rush it, but they don't need to drag it out for a month either.

Need a manager in place though to start work. It's not just picking the team, got to put a lot of groundwork in and perfect time to do it is in june, before the l squad come back. Got to watch the players back in training, work out transfers needed, quite a bit to do actually.

The longer into June we wait, the harder that becomes to do quickly which will delay any work on the team into July and potentially first choice signings go elsewhere then.

totally correct, but regarding people situated abroad, i do worry how much of an affect that has on us.

Unai - if you really want to rub shoulders with the big guns and prove yourself then Everton is where its at. The North West of England is now more than ever the centre of the domestic footballing universe with three other of the top European coaches now established here. And you will be at the front end of a revolution when The Mosh really starts shaking things up. Oh Happy days!

wouldn't put allardyce in that bracket personally but each to their own.

In what way mate ?

we make fairly irregular dips into europe, i just wonder how big of a rep we actually have in places like spain. a team like man united could finish 16th and good foreigners would still join them because they think "ooh that's a big name". I don't think we can have that kind of attraction around europe because of how our own media belittle us.

the longer it goes on , the more I fear the usual last minute Everton lash up
