I've had such a change of heart with Murray, not coz of the crying at Wimbledon and all that, but he's really come out of his shell for me.

Hope he does it.

amazing come back last night, he was getting battered and should of lost 2nd set, clilic os a bit of choker tho by all accounts

I hope so but Djokovic looks ominously good.

This year he's looked like the Djokovic of old: unfocussed and error prone. I wouldn't rule out Del Potro smashing him off court, tbh.

It's opening up a bit for Murray now. Federer isn't going to last another season very well; Nadal has a recurring knee problem that looks like it has his career near finished; Djokovic isn't invincible. If no new superstar emerges you have to expect him picking up a GS in the next 12 months. If he doesn't he can forget it.

Has Tennis lost its Zing with the decade long domination of Federer?

I'd say yes. It's like Real Men don't play the game anymore.

I'd bet there's not one hair on one testicle in the Top 500.

An era personified by that blazer-wearing bore Federer.

We need racquets being smashed...lots of them.

Both mens and womens games are a bit dull at the moment because there's so little variety on display. The game is full of double handed backhanders slugging it out from the baseline. The best encounters have been when there has been some variety on show. Sampras v Agassi for instance, or Federer at his best v Nadal. Likewise Henin lit up the womens game in a way the Williams sisters never have.

If he can't win one in the next year, players like Cilic and Tsonga are going to be mounting serious challenges to win Slams. If he doesn't win one of the next 5 (including this one) I don't think he ever will.

He surely has to win one. Djokovic is in form again, but he'll struggle against Murray if he doesn't bottle it.

eh ? the last few years of the mens game have been the greatest in the history of the sport, federer, nadal and djokovic are three of the greatest players of all time.
