I still don't get the issue with slowing the game down. I'd rather spend 3 extra minutes to get the right decision then the wrong one quickly. but then the "pundits" would have less to talk about with less controversial decisions

Kenny and Dowell certainly shouldn't have anyone put in their way, unless the players brought in are absolutely and unquestionably boss.

It never took that long often defenders teams whinge longer than that video ref!

Kenny yes - Dowell no IMO - The fume generated by Ross Barkley standing on the ball, stopping, turning, standing on the ball and playing a 5 yard pass would be 10x more vehement for a seemingly 'lazy' player like Dowell.

I like the idea. Helps the ref a lot. I'm just unsure who gets to ask for the VA.

Just think you'll cause utter mayhem if the ref thinks he's 100% and is proper wrong and refused to use it under player pressure. Jose would have a field day with it.

Like the idea to help the ref. Just would think it's cause more controversy in some cases rather than the ref just being wrong/right.
 
Hell of a win this. First time a lot of us will have ever seen an England team win a World Cup trophy, I know we all hate ingurrrland. But these lads are passionate and not disenfranchised yet will love this.

I was playing Nintendo and reading comics at this age, they've won a World Cup.

There will be kinks to work out but on the whole it will be a good thing I think.
