half the time pens take longer to be taken in the prem as 15 players surround the ref haha

Nah defo a pen. Thought it as a dive at first and after seeing the first replay but one angle showed clear contact.

Maybe the ref didn't see it which is a problem. They said if he doesn't give it you can't appeal the other way which I don't agree with either. But given that surely it's better to give it and go to the VA?
