Ok to demand 70 million for Branthwaite but 28 million is extortion for anyone else....riiiight.

Southampton are welcome to put however high a price tag on his head as they wish. Branthwaite, meanwhile, has had two excellent seasons in the Premier League, forming a pivotal part of one of the league's best defences in both of those seasons and going on to earn an England cap in the process. At present, Dibling is a risky option. There is little point in comparing the valuation of the two players.

I have read the article you have shared and I struggle to see how Hunter is taking pleasure in sticking the knife in over our failed transfers. There is nothing included in that article which is out of line with the current situation or what has already happened in this window.
It’s all just factual information to be fair, I’m just sick of seeing negative articles about us I guess. Have since been told Andy’s a blue so he’s feeling the same as us all I imagine

Bit unfair to only do last seasons goals on a 19 year old lad who has 23 goals, 14 assists in 114 games in his career so far.

Apologies, he’s got 4 goals and 3 assists.

How fast is this lad?

If the answer isnt faster then a speeding bullet up the back end of a bat out of hell, then im out!

Mate, I’m cool on signings, my issue is this - kubo-fofana-grealish-dibling
…. Unless we have 80 mil to spend (2wingers)then we don’t even know which side we are going invest in this window and, therefore what formation we are gong to play despite only having limited players

And so, we decide now to bid for dibling despite weeks of looking like clowns

I’m cool, we will sign players but, looks like we are led by three different factions
We might have that.

If our budget was initially 150m based on our targets

Back up GK - 5m
RB - Free (Tete, KWP)
CF - 30m
CM - 10m loan
LB - 10m
LW - 30m
RW - 30m
AM - 25m

That would fit the profile of the players we have been linked with and the bids we've made.

Let's also say we have a priority list of positions CF is top, RW is second. But we can't get our no.1 choice because of funds, getting a player like Grealish or McAtee who can play 2 positions potentially frees up extra funds for our priority position.

I suspect we've assumed we would get Tete and proceeded with one plan and had to pivot when he turned us down.

Probably less than about 20 footballers, worldwide, could not be considered a risky option when you're talking tens of millions of pounds. Put your own name behind any player and 50+ million pounds and see if you don't 💩 the bed.

Yes and why are you taking into account goals scored in U18’s football???

Stick Delial Brewster’s stats up if that’s the case.
Because he is only 19 and has only played 1 season in the PL for a team that was getting relegated after the first 10 games. You cannot possibly base a fair assessment on that 1 season so you have to look at his career for accurate perspective.
