TV Series

He is just great at everything tbh, last night's episode was even better. Pretty daring for the BBC.
First episode was good, watched episode 2 and thought it was deathly dull. An hour of wandering around an old house saying very little. I was knackered and kept nodding off, so that didn't help either.

But in general, good programme. I'll persist.

Wishaw far too fey and babyfaced to be a Bond villain. Just couldn't be fearful enough. Absolutely cracking actor though, great at the emotional stuff.

The Bridge is back (series 3), now on BBC4. Nordic noir at its best. I'm a huge fan.
Loved this new series so far. Very tense and very humane. Up there with Wallander. Read an interview with the lead talking about playing a character with aspergers. Never sure why they don't directly say this on the programme but she's absolutely brilliant.

I don't think they really need to explicitly acknowledge the aspergers, it's very evident and would detract from the show to call it out so obviously.

To be honest it only really seemed awkward this series when her superiors were talking about her personality. Think she said the character herself isn't aware but you got to assume the others strongly suspect. I'd agree it doesn't need to be stated but thought some of the conversations were a bit clunky because it isn't mentioned.

Well much like in real life, the other characters shirk and avoid the topic. Saga always gets changed in front of everyone, you see them all looking really uncomfortable but no-one ever brings it up. Only Martin has a full handle on it, and usually just laughs it off.

Gutted he's not in it to be honest. Their relationship was one of the best things I've ever seen on TV.

Fargo second series is a as good as anything that's been on to tv this year. Every episode ecplipes the last, quality tv and Kirsten Dunst is fit as in it.

Probably my favourite current running series (joint with The Knick maybe..). I just smile all the way through it.

That said, the BBC's London Spy is up there too currently.

Have you seen last nights? Took it up a level for me, the cinematography was great. All 3 episodes have been very different so far

Been very good so far the series is more like the Cohen bros film of Fargo Zany and blood thirsty! !

Just when thought this series couldn't get better the drunk lawyer stuff was priceless
