I'm four episodes in now. First episode was quite mediocre (loved the fighting though), second episode was horrible, third episode I really enjoyed and the fourth one was okay, but not great. My opinion of course.
The worst part about the series for me is the dialogue, I just can't take it seriously, it's so overly dramatic all the time (a couple of the actors are as well). They also ruined my favorite character from the games (played all three) and the books (i'm a few chapters into the fourth one), Dandelion. They could've spent a few more florens on the CGI, costumes and make-up as well.
I think Geralt and Yenn is very well casted, while Ciri is all right to me (not perfect, but ok). Seems to me they missed the target with Triss and Dandelion though.
The show is very 2019, as it does have a wee bit of SJW propaganda in it, which does not fit the universe at all imo.
When I said earlier I think they've missed the tone (or the feel) of the books, I'm thinking it's a bit too colorful and the world is very fantasy-ish. In the books (and games) it's very grounded and realistic most of the time, it just happens a lot of crazy stuff in it.
