Finished Black Sails this morning, really enjoyed that. Like a bit of swashbuckling anyway but blending the mythology of Treasure Island with a complex history of Caribbean piracy elevated way beyond my expectations. Great cast playing diverse multifaceted characters. Smart, witty script and sets and effects more than good enough to build a convincing world.

Best series I've watched for yonks.

Yeah it’s made by the same guys that did black sails. It’s ridiculous but entertaining.

Thought it was comedy levels of bad, but with lots of incredibly attractive women - which kept me watching for quite a while, due to me being shallow.

About six episodes.

It was like they`d tried to cram as many pirate cliches into into show as possible.

I really wanted to like it, but just found it dull.

First series is the weakest, it really hits its stride from series 2, series 3 is outstanding.
